The U.S. Army has selected Nyx Industries as a finalist in xTech|Apex Intercept, a prize competition for low-cost interceptor technology run by the Army FUZE xTech program with the Capability Program Executive for Defensive Fires. The competition offers up to $8 million in prizes, which the Army describes as the largest prize pool in xTech history.

Nyx is one of seven finalists in Topic 4, Fire Control and Flight Guidance, and one of 30 finalists across the competition's four topics. Each finalist receives $25,000 and demonstrates its technology to Army and Department of War evaluators. The Army plans to name up to 18 winners by December 31.

The Nyx entry implements the guidance loop in programmable logic on AMD adaptive silicon: seeker fusion, state estimation, guidance and autopilot, with worst-case timing fixed by the design. Nyx demonstrated it on September 22, 2026. The loop ran at 5 kHz, above the design target in the Nyx briefing, with zero measured jitter on an AMD Kria KV260.
